Here’s Hal Johnson of Redding, California. He ventured inside the Kutras Aggregate Plant with his iPad for this recording. He says it was used to process gravel used in the concrete to build Shasta Dam. It makes for some interesting acoustics but is it safe to be in there??
Here’s a little more about Hal:
Until late last year, I hadn’t sang in public for decades. I picked up the guitar and started singing when my son began playing the upright bass. Since the end of last year, I’ve survived six open mics without anyone throwing anything at me.
