Last year Blacksburg, Virginia’s, Old Man Kelly performed in his slippers and bathrobe, this year he performs wearing nothing but a hat and a smile, and we have to wonder if the man owns any clothes. Old Man Kelly tells us:
I received a lot of attention last year for playing in my slippers and bathrobe. I didn’t want that to be a distraction again this year.
Old Man Kelly’s new album, Songs, Stories, Shanties and Shenanigans is available at http://oldmankelly.com. CXCW’s own Matt Peyton has an album credit for some questionably sober backing vocals.[editor’s note: Never arrive late to a shanty singing party!]
Here he is performing Big Bill Broonzy’s “When Things Go Wrong.”
