Ralph Carney – Cheap Turkish Keyboard Jam

Ralph Carney – native of Akron, Ohio, now residing in beautiful San Francisco – is cooler than anyone you know. You might be thinking you don’t know who the hell Ralph Carney is, but you do. Aside from playing in his own bands like Tin Huey, Ralph Carney’s Serious Jass Project, and Carneyball Johnson, multi-instrumentalist Carney has provided his talents for use by the likes of the might Tom Waits (clock Ralph squonking on “Telephone Call from Istanbul”), Elvis Costello, They Might Be Giants, the B-52s, the Black Keys (yes, that’s his nephew on drums), CXCW alumni Daniel Knox, St. Vincent’s latest… to list just his most notable appearances would take a while, but you get the gist.

He’s also a hell of a nice guy, and we’re so pleased he was up for throwing this appearance together for us.
