Will Kimbrough – Free Advice (for Sam Baylor)

Yesterday we had a CXCW performance from Tommy Womack, tonight we have frequent Womack collaborator (check out the bands The Bis-Quits and DADDY), CXCW vet and prolific songwriter Will Kimbrough with a very powerful tribute to his friend and former Will & The Bushmen bandmate Sam Baylor, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this week.

This is a song I wrote w/ my Bushmen bandmate, Sam Baylor, who passed away on March 18, 2015. “Free Advice,” originally on Sam’s solo record, Life on Trouble Street.

  1. Will, Thanks for sharing your tribute with us. I love this song and listened to his whole album yesterday. Sam was one of a kind—the good kind.

  2. Beautiful song, beautiful tribute. Willie K, you never cease to amaze. Very sorry for your loss, but thank you for sharing your feelings with the world, as you often do.

  3. Oh, Will……..Oh My…..now you have me sobbing…..but it’s not all bad……It Is What It Is……I am glad, oh so glad, to be among his last hugs. RIP, indeed, my brother.
